All earthing design work is carried out in the appropriate CDEGS software. It is important to note that “CDEGS” covers a wide range of software modules and the appropriate one should be selected for the project being undertaken to ensure accurate results.

Earthing designs can be provided to achieve a particular earth resistance value (although note that the “1-ohm rule” for HV-LV interconnection should no longer be used – call us for more information) but more usually, design is carried out to achieve touch and step voltage safety and minimize soil voltage rise impact on neighbouring third parties such as domestic and commercial properties, telecommunications infrastructure or railways.
